Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction
One of the most common injuries during sports is the tearing of the ACL. This created a massive knowledge bank and necessitated the development of competencies in the orthopedics specialty.

Some injuries separate the ligament and part of the bone from the rest of the bone, while others tear the ligament partially or totally. The type of surgery depends on the extent of damage and the type of the tear.
During an ACL repair procedure, small incisions are made to connect through which the ligament and the separated piece of the bone to the rest of the bone. On the other hand, in ACL restoration, a graft is usually taken from another part of the body (tendon of the kneecap or one of the hamstring tendons) and used to restore the cut ACL.
Laminectomy
Back or neck pain devastates many people. This pain might be caused by the narrowing of one or more vertebral bony openings (foramina) or by the narrowing of the spinal canal.
Laminectomy, or open decompression, is a procedure that aims to improve mobility by enhancing leg function and to relieve the compression on the spinal cord and nerves, thus curing neurogenic claudication (the leg pain while walking or bending the spine backwards).
In laminectomy, the surgeon removes all or part of the lamina (a posterior portion of a vertebral bone) to allow more space in the spinal canal for the compressed spinal cord and/or spinal nerve roots.
Artificial Disc Replacement (ADR)
Many diseases can affect the intervertebral discs, wearing them out or making them arthritic. These changes in the discs make them painful, negatively affecting the quality of life for patients suffering from them.
ADR is a novel innovative way to treat this pain in the lower back (lumbar spine) or the neck (cervical spine). It is simply the replacement of those painful discs by artificial ones, made of metal or plastic.
