What is the recovery time for breast augmentation?

The typical recovery time for breast augmentation surgery is one to two weeks. During this time your breasts may be swollen and sore. Silicone vs. Saline?

When it comes to breast implants, the two most popular options are silicone and saline. Both options are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and textures. While both types consist of silicone shells, saline implants are filled with sterile salt water. Since silicone is more viscous than saline, it flows differently in its shell and is known to have a more natural look and feel. But at the end of the day both implant types will look the same after they are implanted and both are safe to use.

Which surgical incision will be used for breast augmentation?

Different standard incision approaches can be used during breast augmentation surgery. The incision type your surgeon chooses will typically depend on your body type, implant selection and/or lifestyle. The three most popular incisions used by surgeons are transaxillary (under the armpit), inframmamry (under the breast) and peri-areolar (around the lower edge of the areola). During your consultation, your surgeon will discuss all three options and determine which approach is best suited for you.

What size will the implants be for breast augmentation?

Implant sizes can range from around 100 to 500 cubic centimeters. For every 200 ccs added, breasts will increase approximately one cup size.
